Dorm Room Essentials

Today, I am taking a break from our typical content and sharing some dorm room essentials we have found while preparing to move our recent graduate into the dorm. Move-in day is a little more than a month away, and these are some of our favorites so far.

This Lucid Mattress Topper has been highly recommended and was one of our first dorm room purchases. Dorm mattresses are notoriously uncomfortable, and this will make the mattress much comfier.

Also on our list of dorm essentials was a zippered mattress protector. This will minimize the exposure to dust mites and bed bugs.

We opted for simple yet functional bedding for the dorm. Because our son will have a private room we were not needing to coordinate with roommates. This bedding set was ideal for what we needed and was a great price.

Another dorm essential we found was a surge protector power strip for charging and powering all the things. I loved that it had a flat plug and usb ports.

We ordered these stackable storage bins to use as a bedside table and extra storage for snacks or personal items.

Still on our list of things to purchase are a lamp, a fan, some towels, a shower caddy and other storage items. I will share as we continue to find more of our dorm essentials.
