APPOINTMENT DAY PREP

When it comes to appointment day, PREPARATION is key! Often times, you have waited for weeks or months for a big medical appointment for your child, and you want to make sure you are prepared. Today I will highlight some tips and products that I have found useful for appointment day prep.

  • In the days leading up to the appointment, make sure your Essentials Notebook is up to date with any current questions and concerns as well as any other information you want to share with the provider at the appointment.

  • If you are feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about what to expect or how to prepare, you can schedule a consultation with me, and we can work together to make sure you are prepared.

  • In preparation, pack an appointment day bag. Below I will highlight a few products that I love to use when packing my appointment day bag.

This Bagsmart tote bag from Amazon is a great choice for an appointment day bag! I love that it has side pockets for drinks and plenty of room for all the essentials. Don’t forget to pack your Essentials Notebook and a pen.

This Bagsmart toiletry bag from Amazon is one of my favorites! I fill it with crayons and markers, a small notebook, Barbies, Hot Wheels or other small toys to keep my child entertained while waiting.

The Bentgo Kids lunch box is ideal for packing snacks to have on hand in case appointments run long.

A portable charger is essential on appointment day. I really like this TG90 portable charger from Amazon because of the attached cables for charging.

I also always stock and pack this pill organizer before traveling for appointments. Essentials for us are chewable acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and Benadryl as well as any current prescription medications.

I hope these tips are helpful as you prepare for appointment day for your child. Appointment days can be long and overwhelming, but by being prepared and organized you can make the most of each appointment and minimize stress for you and your child.
