A Tray Two Ways… gift giving made simple
Let’s talk about gift-giving. A thoughtful gift can meet a need, spread joy, share comfort or simply show that you care. The holidays are quickly approaching, and now is a great time to think about how to create thoughtful gifts.
One of my favorite ways to give a gift is using a tray or bowl or crate as part of the gift. Today, I’ll show you two ways to use a scalloped tray to create a thoughtful gift that the recipient is sure to love.
In the picture above, I filled the scalloped tray with some of my cozy favorites that would be great for a housewarming gift, a teacher gift, a birthday gift or even a Christmas gift. And below are a few of my favorite things to fill the tray with.
Next, I love to add a book. Does your friend love a light rom-com? Or maybe a suspenseful thriller? How about a cookbook? One of my favorite books to give is Gather and Give by Amy Hannon. In this delightful book, Amy Hannon shares about biblical hospitality is such an inspiring way.
Finally, I love to add a candle to the tray to complete the gift. Two of my favorite candles for fall are the Half Baked Pumpkin Smash candle by Snif and the Pumpkin Dulce candle by Capri Blue. They are both smell absolutely incredible! So, you may want to order extra so you have one for yourself too.
A second way to style the scalloped tray would be to add some coffee mugs filled with hot chocolate mix along with some kitchen towels. Below I will share some mugs and towels that would be great for gift giving.
These mugs come as a set of two, four or six and are available in a variety of colors. They would make a perfect addition to the tray. Fill them with your favorite tea, coffee or hot chocolate for an even sweeter surprise.
Next, some kitchen towels make a stylish yet functional addition to your gift. I love these kitchen towels by Geometry. The patterns and colors are fabulous for fall.
These are just two examples of using something as simple as a tray to create a delightful gift. The possibilities of how you fill the tray are truly endless, and each tray you fill can be as unique as the individual receiving the gift.
